Samsung Hercules Android smartphone with 8 MP camera features

Samsung Hercules, variant of the Samsung Galaxy S II Android smartphone that features rounded edges and free from physical home button, reappears again with Telus SIM card. Apparently, the device is also expected to join the USA smartphone market courtesy of T-Mobile USA, but not until the month of October according to the latest leak presented online.

As usual, the Samsung Hercules comes with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a front-facing camera for video chat, and should include 1 GB of dedicated RAM and the latest Android Gingerbread 2.3.4 out of the box with the latest TouchWiz custom skin.

The new Samsung Hercules leak shows the power of the device by using the Quadrant Standard Android app, a benchmarking native app that computes and ranks the capability of a device by measuring frame rates using the smartphone’s CPU, Memory, 2D and 3D graphics rendering. The higher the score, the better — though some suggests that the Quadrant app is not capable of revealing the true potential of dual-core devices.

The Samsung Hercules leak originally posted by Mobile Syrup suggests that the Samsung Hercules scored 3359, which is a thousand higher than the score of LG’s dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 powered Optimus 2X, and 800 higher than Motorola Mobility’s dual-core Atrix 4G.
