Samsung Galaxy Note smartphone with Super Amoled HD display features


Samsung recently announced their new smartphone – the Galaxy Note having a huge 5.3 inches screen. This is now the biggest phone from Samsung to date. The Korean manufacturer unveiled it at the IFA 2011 held at Berlin, Germany.

5.3 inches HD Super AMOLED screen of the Galaxy Note has a WXGA resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. This screen also has support for multitouch and there is an advanced stylus included called S Pen. The manufacturer previously released an S Pen SDK for the developers for creating apps for Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and will be having Samsung TouchWiz user interface along with the Samsung Live Panel UI. The manufacturer has mashed up TouchWiz for the smartphone with that for tablet.

The huge smartphone is powered by a dual 1.4 GHz processor having Exynos microprocessor inside with the Mali400MP graphics chip. Galaxy Note has 1 GB RAM with 16 GB onboard memory.

The eight megapixels camera of the Galaxy Note has LED flash and it can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30 frames per second or fps. On the front, there is a two megapixels shooter for taking selfportrait shots and for video calling.

Smartphones from Samsung are known for the different video formats. This handset can play DivX/XviD, WMV, H.264, H.263, and MPEG4. There is a new music player inside for playing your tracks along with SoundAlive feature. It is supposed to enhance the ear phone sound to give 3D effects. There is also a 3.5 mm headphones port which lets you put in any standard headphones inside. Finally, there is FM radio with RDS.

Galaxy Note comes with sensors inside like Digital Compass, Acccelerometer, Barometer, Proximity Sensor, AGPS along with GLONASS and an ambient light sensor. Wireless connectivity options include Bluetooth 3.0+HS, WiFi Direct support, and WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n). There is also support for HSPA+”>HSPA+ and 4G LTE.

Samsung has put in a 2,500 mAh battery inside for powering this monster.
